NICOLE EFFNER DOG COACH

My name is
Nicole Effner
How did I become a dog trainer?
For me it's more than a job, it's my calling.
I went the usual way, first did an apprenticeship and worked in sales and later in a bank. It was there that I had my first contact with trainees and with areas of behavioral psychology. But I didn't feel fulfilled or happy.
By coincidence, my dog Lili found me .... and after a very short time it got on my nerves. She did every naughty thing imaginable. Through Lili I learned very quickly that love alone is not enough in a dog's life. She showed me how important reliable and constant leadership is for dogs. I needed help urgently and was looking for a dog trainer. That was my initial spark. I had discovered my ability to communicate with dogs using body language. The dog school saw it that way too and offered me to accompany them as an assistant to their other training dogs.
My path began... I founded my dog walking service and selected several dogs to do my hospice helper training. We volunteered for three years in a hospice for cancer and tumor diseases and then passed the exam to become a hospice assistant. I also did a lot of further training and sat in on colleagues, in order to then face the examination (oral/written/practical) according to §11 Animal Welfare Act and successfully complete it. My goal of becoming a coach for human-dog teams was now possible.
My core competencies are: coaching and development work. I have been making this available to my customers since 2006.
I help other people walk a common path with their dog. I make you strong to lead your dog in our world. Dogs are guests in our world. I help you to live your dream of a life with a dog, in which both are relaxed and confident and the dog has a species-appropriate life.
I love to accompany people in their very personal development, to support them and encourage them in dealing with their dog.
Each dog owner team is individual and unique. That's why there is no "scheme F" for me. I consider my customers as clients as our collaboration is so much more than just buying a little something somewhere. I accompany my clients on their very personal path to a harmonious, trusting and respectful human-dog team.
In accordance with Section 11 Paragraph 1 Number 8f of the Animal Welfare Act, I am authorized to train dogs commercially for third parties or to instruct the training of dogs by the animal owner. In addition, I have the permission to lead 10 dogs according to § 27, paragraph 1 Dog Protection Act.
I am based in Schöneberg, but as part of the individual coaching I come to my customers' homes, where most problems begin.
I'll pick you up where you are, at your home, in your environment.
I work non-violently and without treats in coaching.
